Play Along!

I have wanted to do this for a while now but could never find the right time to get it going. We're going to have a blog contest here at "The Burley Family." Over the next few days, I would like to invite everyone to leave a comment and tell me what you are most thankful for this Thanksgiving! In exchange for your participation, you will have a chance to win this super-cute 5x5 frame I found.

I will have Jason draw a name on Wednesday before we leave for all of our traveling. I am also doing this for slightly selfish reasons as well, because I would love to know who is reading the blog! This could severely backfire and NO ONE will leave a comment, so don't leave me hanging, people! Take a couple of seconds to think about all the things you have to be thankful for! It's time for all of you lurkers to come out of hiding, too, and leave a comment! I'll get things started:

A sweet, talented, loving husband ... a beautiful, precious, amazing daughter ... awesome parents ... a sister who is my best friend ... my awesome girlfriends ... sweet in-laws ... salvation ... forgiveness ... my church ... dogs ... a comfortable home to live in ... a job to go to each day ... chocolate ... cheesecake ... chocolate cheesecake ... friends ... our military ... safety ... money to spend for our wants and needs ... pizza ... music...and tons of other things I could go on all day about!

OK - YOUR TURN!

Yay this is fun! I'm thankful for: a WONDERFUL husband (and a future great Dad, as displayed this past weekend); my sister - I don't know what I'd do without her! and her husband (and my beautiful niece); parents who care enough about me to stay involved, even though I'm "all grown up"; amazing friends, both old and new; a job that I love and that challenges me; my doggie Lola...who is the best dog in the world and who I adore!; my health; a voice to sing and all kinds of music; a church in Charlotte that I enjoy; sunny days; vacations; cereal, pizza, pasta, subs...just food in general; my house (landscaping not included!); my ability to live comfortably and still purchase things that I want; etc.

I could go on forever! :) I'm just thankful for everything in my life - and I try not to complain b/c I have it MUCH better than a lot of people! HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE - because on Thursday, I will MOST DEFINITELY be thankful for my mom's home cookin'!

"The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!"
- Psalm 50:23
My salvation and the GRACE that the LORD gives me everyday-my sweet husband and his ability to make me laugh is a gift I cherish everyday-my GORGEOUS son and his sweet words of love to his momma-my awesome parents, my brothers and their families and my sister and her 2 sweet girls! I thanks GOd daily for the BEST friends in the world...old and new-here and in spirit-who knows what I would be like without them-THE WORLD's best inlaws that treat me like a daughter-a job that I feel a purpose at and love to come to everyday...a house that is all ours--warm and cozy and almost ready to get dressed up for the holidays-I think that this is a great way to reflect.
