Day 2 - Disney Hollywood Studios

Disney Hollywood Studios: Jeff started the day with a fever, quick trip to the Disney doc and one antibiotic later, he joined us by lunchtime, met Donald Duck, saw Voyage of the Little Mermaid show, saw Disney Playhouse Live with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters, Handy Manny, Little Einstein's, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh, rode Toy Story Mania (one of our favorite rides of the week!), did the Studio Backlot Tour, Muppet Vision 3D, Star Tours, and The Great Movie Ride, watched the Block Party Bash, participated in the American Idol Experience, got to meet the winner from our show, Elizabeth Liberty, saw the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, lunch at the ABC Commissary, dinner at the 50's Primetime Cafe (one of our favorite meals of the week!), met Byron our fun and hilarious waiter, were told to keep our elbows off the table, say "May I please have ..." and eat our veggies, looked at our dessert menu through a ViewFinder, had S'mores for dessert, had a group huddle in SE and Jeff's room to plan the next day, and called it an early night!

Day 1 - The Magic Kingdom

We truly could not have wished for a more perfect Disney World experience! Even though I would love to relive every moment of the trip here on the blog, I would be writing for days. So, instead, I'm just going to hit the highlights of each day and let the pictures tell the story! Enjoy!

Magic Kingdom: Incredible day, light rain, then mild afternoon, lost room/dining/park admission key which was quickly replaced at Guest Relations (thank you, Disney!), saw the welcome show that opens the park, happy tears for Mickey, Happy Anniversary and 1st Visit buttons, met Daisy Duck, lots of pictures in front of the castle, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the County Bear Jamboree, the Haunted Mansion, the Liberty Bell River Boat, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, It's a Small World, the Mad Tea Party teacups, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, found out Camryn and 3D glasses don't mix, lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, everyone awestruck when we met Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Belle, Dream Along with Mickey show at Cinderella's Castle, monorail, dinner at 1900 Park Fare where we met Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepmother, and stepsisters, and the SpectroMagic Parade.

We're Back!

We're back home from what was, at the risk of sounding terribly sappy and cliched, a truly magical vacation. After not having to wash a single load of clothes, prepare a single meal, or hit one single grocery store, we are having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to the real world once again. I'm sure you can understand how a week at the happiest place on earth could do that to a family! Hopefully I will get around to posting some pictures later today. Between our two families, we took well over 1000 pictures. This morning I am off to an eye doctor's appointment, because I have some sort of craziness going on with my eyes. So, as long as my eyes haven't been surgically removed or something by the time I get back this afternoon, I will begin the parade of pictures!

Camryn attended her very first Vacation Bible School the week of June 22. She loved it and couldn't wait to go each morning. This is a video of Camryn singing and doing the motions to her favorite song from the week - she looks so little to me every time I watch this! It's a little late, because I had to have Jason's help getting it into the right format to publish here, but I don't think there's anything cuter than watching little kids singing like this!
